About Us

Our Story

Butterfly Family Daycare est. In 2014, began as a service to the community of Bellflower and Lakewood, providing a safe and nurturing home for babies 6 weeks to 5 years old. Butterfly Family Childcare symbolizes that each child in our care is treated as if they were our own babies. Each child is given the love and support to grow and develop through play, exploration, and discovery. We focus on allowing the child to lead in learning, then transitioning them into a structured preschool environment to prepare them for elementary school.

 

Our Team

Owner: Rebecca Kuyper

I have spent my life teaching children from preschool through middle school. I hold a multi-subject credential and worked in the public school system for 10 years. When my son was born, I sought a way to utilize my skills in the classroom, combine my love for children of all ages, and be at home for my own children; that’s how Kuyper Kids Daycare was born.

Assistant: Rhiannon Polk

Rhiannon has a love for children. She enjoys focusing on the gross motor skills, helping kids learn to crawl, walk, throw, catch, etc.  Rhiannon finds excitement in watching the children develop through playing and experiencing the world around them.
